His clients range from beginners to champions in IndyCar, NASCAR, IMSA, rally, and more. His coaching approach extends beyond technical instruction to include mental preparation, confidence-building, and holistic driver development.
As you’ll hear, Ross provides fascinating insights into the mental aspects of racing at the highest level. He emphasizes that the best drivers combine natural talent with extraordinary work ethic. Their conversation touches on how racecraft has evolved in modern motorsport, particularly how the specialization and packed schedules of Formula 1 have limited drivers' opportunities to develop versatile racing skills.
A bit about Ross Bentley
From the time he was five years old, Ross Bentley knew he'd be a race car driver. He achieved that dream and has raced at all levels, winning the U.S. Road Racing Championship in 1998 and the Daytona 24-Hour race in 2003.
Ross is the acclaimed author of the Speed Secrets series of books and offers extensive training resources through his website. He also established the Motorsport Safety Foundation's HPDE Instructor Certification program and continues to compete in endurance races, winning the 2019 Thunderhill 25-Hour event. Throughout his career, Ross has been driven by his passion for helping others become even better drivers.
